CARDAMOM
Shade grown cardamom from Idukki is rated as the best in the world. Green, full pods of this queen of spices is full of aroma and flavour. Often used in both savoury and sweet dishes this spice has both medicinal as well as culinary uses.
IDUKKI SPECIFIC PEPPER
Pepper, the spice that sailed a thousand ships is both spicy and flavourful. The culinary uses are many, from being used to preserve meat, adding flavour to stews and curries to being a garnish on top of a fried egg. Pepper has many health benefits and has anti-inflammatory properties especially when combined with turmeric and ginger.
MACE
Mace is a spice that looks like a beautiful piece of lace, its mainly reddish or orangish in colour. Its flavour is sweeter than nutmeg and it's mainly used to flavour meat dishes as well as in baking. Mace also has medicinal value due to its anti-bacteria and anti-fungal properties.
DRY GINGER
Dried ginger is a pungent and aromatic spice that is used in baking, chai masala as well as savouries and some types of sweets. Dried ginger has anti-inflammatory properties and helps improve digestion. It is also known to bring relief from cough and sore throat.
NUTMEG
Just a dash of nutmeg and your pumpkin latte tastes divine! The magic of nutmeg is not just limited to beverages alone, its an essential in any baker's pantry as well as being a part of chef's special masala! According to research nutmeg is a great mood booster and may even help reduce the risks of heart disease.
CLOVES
These beautiful buds pack a punch when it comes to flavour. From meat dishes to sweetmeats, this spice makes its presence felt. Clove is an excellent antimicrobial and its these properties that make it an effective home remedy for toothache.
TURMERIC
This yellow spice that turns curries yellow does more than just add colour. The curcumin in turmeric gives it anti-inflammatory as well as antioxidant properties. Kerala grown turmeric is known for its high percentage of curcumin.
STAR ANISE
This star shaped spice adds depth, warmth and sweetness to broths, stews, mulled wine etc. It's usually removed from the dish just before serving as it has already infused its flavour. Star Anise is known for its strong antiviral property and a component in it is extracted to make antiviral drugs.
AJWAIN
Ajwain or Carom seeds are often used in Indian tadkas, spice mixes and is also sprinkled on top of breads and cookies. It's said to alleviate gas and bloating and is often added to fried snacks for this very reason.
FENNEL
Mouth freshner and spice all rolled into one! Fennel is a key ingredient for the "Garam Masala" and is also used in some baked goods and curries. It has antioxidant properties and is believed to be good for heart health as it has a high fiber content.
CINNAMON
This tree bark is a flavoursome spice that is used whole and powdered. Cinnamon is used in baked goods like cinnamon rolls, apple pie etc. It is also used in savoury preparations like biryani, curries and stews. Cinnamon is high in antioxidants and is said to lower diabetes and cholesterol.
CARAWAY
Caraway seeds or Shahi Jeera is a spice used often in baked goods and Indian curries. It's also used in making traditional medicines for treating cough, flu, indigestion etc. Caraway is high in fiber and antioxidants as well.
CUMIN
Cumin is a spice with a very distinctive taste, a little, goes a long way as far a flavour is concerned. It is used extensively in India in curries, pickles, tempering and rice preparations such as jeera rice. Cumin is used extensively in Ayurvedic preparations. It aids in digestion and is rich in antioxidants.
BLACK PEPPER BOLD
Idukki grown Black Pepper (Rajakumari Pepper) is world renowned for its density as compared to other black pepper varieties. Pepper is rich in antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory properties too. It's an indispensable spice in all cuisines and is truly the king of spices.
CARDAMOM
Green cardamom is our most celebrated product. It is exclusively sourced from our own farm as well as the neighbouring farms that have been into cardamom farming for years. We take utmost care in producing, grading, and packaging to bring the product from our farms to your table.
CLOVES
Idukki sourced cloves are rich in natural oils and are awesomely flavourful. Our Cloves are hand plucked, sun dried, cleaned and hand sorted before being packed and shipped.
FOREST HONEY
Our honey is procured specifically from the forests where a large variety of flora produces a unique, pure, and floral toned honey. This pure honey is often preferred by Ayurveda practitioners as a base for consuming most of their medicines.
NATURAL HONEY
We source our Natural Honey exclusively from farms which are situated near to the wilderness of the Western Ghats. The raw honey is purified and processed, and the moisture level is maintained at a level below 20%. Natural goodness in a bottle!
